US weekly average ethanol production reached 1.107 million barrels per day in the week to December 20, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) report on Friday December 27. This marked an increase of 4,000 bpd from the previous week.

Ethanol stocks hit a two-month high of 23.074 million barrels, up by 400,000 barrels week on week but down by 1.9% year on year.

Demand for corn increased by 0.4% from the previous week. Approximately 16.4 million bushels of corn per day were used for ethanol production.

Livestock feed production totaled 118,381 tonnes in the week to December 20. Distillers’ dried grain production accounted for 105,285 tonnes, with the remaining amount consisting of 11,050 tonnes of corn gluten feed and 2,046 tonnes of corn gluten meal.

Gasoline supply increased by 81,000 bpd from the previous week to 9.008 million bpd, but was down by 1.75% year on year.
