The US is on track to consume more than five billion gallons of biodiesel and renewable diesel for the first time, the Clean Fuels Alliance America (CFAA) said in a press release on Monday December 30.
A major supporting factor for the increased biofuels use was state-level policies, CFAA said.
In 2024, New Mexico adopted a clean fuel standard, becoming the fourth state to do so after California, Washington and Oregon. The New Mexico program is still in the rulemaking stage.
