Most US animal protein prices were flat to up day on day on Tuesday January 14. Animal protein products were slow to start the week, with light volumes traded, market sources said.
Fastmarkets’ daily price assessment for poultry by-product meal, feed grade, Mid-South was $525-600 per short ton on Tuesday, narrowing upward from $500-600 per ton on Monday January 13.
Fastmarkets’ daily price assessment for bloodmeal, porcine, Iowa/Missouri/Nebraska was $1,150-1,275 per short ton on Tuesday, widening upward from Monday’s price of $1,150-1,250 per ton.
Fastmarkets’ daily assessment for bloodmeal, poultry, South was $825-925 per short ton on Tuesday, compared with $650-750 per ton a month earlier on December 17. Prices as low as $750 per tonne and as high as $1,000 per tonne were reported, with the bulk of trade settling within the published range.
