US weekly average ethanol production increased to 1.084 million barrels per day in the week to February 14, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) report released on Thursday February 20. Production was up by 2,000 bpd from the previous week and unchanged year on year.
Ethanol stocks increased to 26.218 million barrels, up by 526,000 barrels week on week and up by 2.8% year on year.
Demand for corn rose by 0.2% from the previous week and was unchanged year on year. Approximately 16.06 million bushels of corn per day were used for ethanol production.
Livestock feed production totaled 115,921 tonnes in the week to Friday. Distillers’ dried grain with solubles (DDGS) production was 103,097 tonnes, with the remaining amount consisting of 10,820 tonnes of corn gluten feed and 2,004 tonnes of corn gluten meal.
