Trading was quiet to start the week. 

Hog slaughter finished last week at an estimated 2.38 million head, up 4.7% from the week prior and 8% compared to 2017. Big kills are a theme over the next six weeks with our forecast averaging 2.4 million head and for the last three of those six, 2.47 million head. The increased hog slaughter will keep the risk in the market for lower prices given the already heavy supply seen in the US market….
