Trading for ruminant MBM fell to a low of $235 in the California market today.

Cattle slaughter finished last week at 658,000 head, up 3.5% from the same week last year. Cattle slaughter for the year is running 3.1% ahead of 2017’s pace. The slaughter forecast for the next three weeks is expected to be at multi-year highs ahead of the July 4^th holiday, averaging 681,300 head before falling to an estimated 579,200 for the holiday shortened week….
