Fat prices were lower out of the Australian market with export values dropping US$20 and local trading down AUS$20. Strong kills are pressuring the market lower and the conspicuous absence of Singapore from the market is contributing to the downturn. Cattle slaughter typically peaks in mid May before declining for the winter season.
