Market Activity

The ruminant MBM market was mostly steady this afternoon, but the Panhandle market did see the bottom side come up $5. Porcine trading was higher out of the Eastern IA/IL and Mo. River markets, $245 – 270. Indiana action was lower, $240 – 270. Hog kills have gotten off to a slower start this week with 393,000 head processed yesterday. Today’s 466,000 head is up from last Tuesday’s 456,000.
