Ryan Standard

Ryan Standard grew up in a small, rural community in Illinois where his interest in agriculture and economics first began.

He continued to pursue this interest at Monmouth College where he studied literature, history and economics. These three studies were the perfect start to begin analyzing economic trends as a career path.

Seven and a half years ago, Ryan was searching for a job that could allow him to use his skills and knowledge in the economic world and that is when he met John, who hired him shortly after his interview.

Since being hired as an entry level employee at The Jacobsen, Ryan has worked his way up to the title of Animal Stats and Protein Editor where he now contacts buyers, sellers and traders of proteins to collect data about pricing. From here, Ryan analyzes the data and writes daily and weekly reports on the trends and information for The Jacobsen.

One of Ryan’s many accomplishments with The Jacobsen is helping the company move from a national market in the United States to an international market serving many clients all over the globe.
