Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Five cars of renderer BFT were offered lower, $0.2700 Chicago. As of press time those cars were unsold. There was some interest for packer material down a penny, but as of press time no sellers were willing to sell at that price.
Outside of the tallow offers, the market was fairly quiet. Mo. River CWG did trade up a half cent from the previous low, $0.2350 – 0.2500. Yellow grease and poultry fat were up into the Carolinas market. The Thanksgiving slow down…
