Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Trading was flat on ruminant MBM this afternoon with the exception of California, which fell to a range of $220 – 250. Porcine MBM was steady out of the Midwestern markets, $5 higher from the previous low out of the Carolinas.
Blood meal values picked up for all species today. Poultry blood was up $50, ruminant topped out at $625 and porcine trading was reported as high as $700.
