Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
The Mo. River ruminant market fell to a ceiling of $270 FOB today and trading out of the panhandle was reported $225 – 245 FOB. The Eastern market topped out at $300. Porcine material is reported as tight, although there was some trading done in good volume at the lower end of the range, $285. Feathermeal trading was done higher out of the Carolinas, $355 – 370 and lower FOB Mid South, $400- 440.
