Palm Oil Rises as Production Declines Buoy Prices

Palm oil prices continue to move higher as slowing global production continues to generate tailwinds for prices.  During the first 9-months of 2016 palm oil production has declined approximately 7%, to 43.3 million tons. The declines have been tracked to a reduction in output from both Indonesia and Malaysia which are the world’s number 1 and 2 producers respectively.
