Market Activity

Late yesterday three cars of lard traded at $0.3300 Chicago and two at $0.3500 Chicago. Edible tallow was traded in 12 cars at $0.2500 Chicago for the Oct/Nov position. Sellers were out offering $0.2300 on both packer and renderer BFT today, but buyers weren’t showing much interest. Sources have suggested that there is interest from jobbers a couple of cents lower, but end users aren’t showing any interest at the moment.
