Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
It was a busy day in the market with prices dropping sharply in a number of markets. Packer BFT traded at $0.2500 – 0.2600 Chicago, five each, with more offered at $0.2500 to close out the day. Sellers continue to report a lot of difficulty finding buyers in the Chicago market. CWG was offered at $0.2350 Chicago this afternoon, down a penny and a half.
Five cars of edible tallow traded at $0.2650 and tech was offered and unsold at the same price. Renderer…
