Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Trading was quiet today with not much action reported. There was an offer out at $0.2400 FOB Illinois for yellow grease, which reportedly did not generate any interest from the buy side. Sources are reporting corn oil sellers are out early with offers, but interest is lackluster from the biodiesel sector due to continued weakness in the oil markets.
