Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Soybean values receded for the week, despite the USDA increasing both the crush and exports by 10 million bushels apiece while lowering ending stocks by 20 million bushels. NOPA crush data for April was released on Friday, which showed 150.363 million bushels crushed, down from 162 million in March but still setting a record for April.
