The protein market is a bit slow to wake up from the long, holiday weekend. Trading was reported at $377 FOB Texas Panhandle for ruminant material and was quiet elsewhere. Sources were reporting that sellers are out asking for higher prices to start the week, but buyers are pushing back.

Porcine trading was done at $380 – 410 FOB Mo. River and as high as $415 FOB Eastern IA/IL. Trading in the Carolinas was reported at $420.
