The hide market begins the new week with sellers bracing for more down pressure after seeing little relief since the Hong Kong fair.

Last week, steer hide prices slipped two or three dollars and cow hide prices were more stable, trading from steady to two dollars lower than the prior week. Once again, volume was hampered by slow demand and some very aggressive bidding.
