Slaughter remains firm/stable which is normal at this time of the year. The downward trend of raw hides has temporarily paused, but pundits do not think the lull will not last long.

Today, the price of a wet salted steer hides is stable in the order of US$1.55 per kg. Wet salted price is moving toward an adjustment in the short term.
