There were some big jumps in the steer market today with trades reported higher on Texas Steers. Northern Native and Dairy Cows traded up, while the Southwestern Native Cows traded down a dollar per piece. Sources continued to report that finding hides this week was difficult and some of the higher prices may be related to short coverings.
