The US hide market was quiet this week with supplier representatives calling on customers ahead of the All China Leather Exhibition beginning next Monday and running through Wednesday. Prices were steady-firm for US steer hides as well as some of the high-end cows. Branded cows and lower-end hides were still difficult to move and steady at best.
