The tone in the US hide market remains soft with offering prices $1 or $2 lower on a wide variety of selections and some of the list larger than normal. Suppliers report mixed buyer interest but generally demand appears to be inadequate to hold prices steady for most selections. Some of the early quotes are also mixed from steady to $1 or $2 lower.
