The Kansas City Royals will return to the World Series competing against the New York Mets this week. Since the time they played (and lost to) the San Francisco Giants last year, a lot has changed in the US hide market. Since last year’s series, the Jacobsen Hide Index (JHI) which represents the US steer/heifer selections is down nearly 44%, falling $45.97 to $59.38 from $105.35 a year ago.
