This week hide prices moved sideways with the exception of a couple spotted trades that were slightly higher. Most market participants reported buyers were unwilling to pay higher prices even though offers were limited and firm. Volume of hides traded on average seemed to be lower than normal; however, some suppliers report it was about average or close to a week’s production.
