There was little change and not much good news in the hide and leather market last week. Demand in the shoe sector remains too slow to support a firm hide market despite good auto leather business. Prices on the whole were softer with some steer and cow prices slipping $1-$2. Big packer HNS traded for $72, BBS at $69, HTS from $60 to $63 and CBS for $50 to $51, FOB plant.
