The US hide market retained a softer tone with prices from steady to $1 lower. Sources were mixed on volume with a noted increase of active bids, much which were considered too low, but hides were moved at prices close to last week’s trading levels. Included were HNS at $71 to$72, BBS from $67 to $68 and HTS from $60 to $64.
