The US hide market was a little less active with steer hides steady to $1 higher and cowhides from steady to $1 lower. The majority of packer BBS reported between $69 to $71.50, HNS from $72 to $73 and HTS from $64 to $66 and the Jacobsen Hide Index closed Friday at $62.64—down $0.21 from a week ago.
