THE JACOBSEN NORTH AMERICAN HIDE BULLETIN

Market Activity & Analysis

The hide market and leather trade continues to muddle along this week with prices more or less stable. A lot of bids are coming in a couple dollars below sellers’ asking prices but sources confirm serious bids for HTS are hovering between $72 to $73.50 C&F which translates back to $66 to $67 FOB plant. There still appears to be a better demand for top-end grades such as HNS and BBS than the lower grading counterparts.
