Last week’s hide market tightened with activity slow and prices in a stalemate. There were a couple exceptions but popular steer branded traded steady including HNS for $75, BBS for $73, HTS from $71 to $72, BS at $65 and HNDS at $81 though in smaller quantities. The Jacobsen Hide Index closed Friday $0.25 higher at $65.68 from $64.93 the week before. Cows were mostly steady with a small number trading $0.50 to $1 higher.
