The US hide market was less active this week, affected by the absence of many Chinese tanners for the Chinese New Year. Prices in general were unchanged with a little more firmness on CBS and BS as tanners sought cheaper alternatives to the top-end steer selections. Cow selections were also steady/firm, but saw little up movement for most selections.
