The US hide market appears to be stuck with producers and tanners unwilling to give any ground on price. Bid volume picked up a notch overnight but many of the bids are well below asking prices and a few suppliers report it is tough to get business. Prices reported on limited sales remain close to last week’s trading levels including CBS at $66.50, BS at $67, BBS at $76 and HNS at $78 FOB plant.
