Market Activity & Analysis

Reports trickling in from the APLF point toward a fairly well-attended first day with most people looking for direction and a few testing the market with lower bids. Buyers expectations that prices will be lower by fair’s end were apparent and not many hides sales are being reported. Meanwhile in the US, the market remains quiet as expected, but on a limited number of both steer and cowhide sales with prices quoted from $0.50 to $2 lower.
