The July 4^th Independence Day holiday week was on the quiet side for the US hide market with trading from steady to a dollar lower. Packer HNS reported for $66, BBS from $64 to $65, HTS for $61, BS from $58 to $61 and CBS from $54 to $57 FOB plant. The Jacobsen Hide Index closed steady on Friday at $58.69 from $58.66 a week ago.
