The closing numbers

The USDA’s Office of the Chief Economist released the monthly World Ag Supply and Demand (WASDE) data at noon Eastern time today.  The Ag market dropped like a rock.  Soybean oil, which had just been trading as high as 35.15 prior to the release, dropped to 34.02 in the next half an hour, and then slipped to 33.89 before recovering slightly and closing at 34.16 cents per pound.
