The US hide market was quiet last week with Asia tanners out for Harvest Moon and National Day holidays. Following a couple weeks of decent sales, some suppliers tried to inch prices higher, but buyers resisted and hides traded more or less steady including big packer HNS from $59 to $61, BBS from $54 to $55, and HTS from $47 to $50.
