The momentum with the US hide market fizzled last week with most reports steady, but there are some unconfirmed reports circulating that some major producer hides sold quietly at lower levels. With perhaps the exception of this unsubstantiated business, sales activity or volume was likely less than it has been over the previous few weeks.
