Biodiesel output strong in Q2; producers start locking in Q3-Q4 sales
A second producer echoed this sentiment and said they have had to work a bit harder to secure feedstock to line it up with sales at the right time.
The US hide market activity faded at about the mid-point last week with overall sales below normal for the second consecutive week and prices mostly unchanged. Heavy native steers and BBS continued in good demand with few available and prices firm. Steer prices last week include HNS for $64 to $65, BBS from $59 to $62 and HTS from $52 to $52.50 FOB plant.
