By most accounts, last week’s US hide market remained under pressure and quiet with the absence of China buyers out for Tomb Sweeping holiday. Hides on most selection traded around $1 to $1.50 lower than previous levels. The Jacobsen Hide Index closed at $50 on Friday, down $1.44 from $51.44 a week ago.
