The hide market was fairly quiet last week, with packers indicating they didn’t need to sell many hides, offering out higher prices. Meanwhile, buyers were also saying they didn’t need to buy especially for more money. A small number of the top-end packer hides traded $0.50 to $1 above previous levels, but the market was more or less stable.
