Market Activity & Analysis

Last week the US hide market activity was down with prices steady to slightly higher on the top-tier packer steers and steady to soft on cows and low-end hides. A large portion of the US market participants were traveling and visiting customers ahead of the leather fair, which added to the stillness of the market. Packer HTS traded from $33.50 to $36.50, BBS from $43.50 to $45 and HNS from $55.50 to $56.50.
