The US steer and top-end cow hide market held steady with mixed reports regarding volume and activity, so it is unclear if a week’s worth of product was moved. The situation was less positive for branded cows and some of the low-end hides traded. Big packer HNS traded from $55 to $56, BBS from $43.5 to $46 and HTS from $33.50 to $38 FOB plant.
