The US hide market remains on the quiet side with suppliers doing their best to keep enough hides moving under pressure from unmotivated buyers. Prices on limited business are mixed with some close to last week’s trading levels and some trades reported $1 to $2 lower than previous sales. Most steer sales are reporting within the last week’s trading range, but a few lower-end steer and cow prices have edged down.
