US hide suppliers fought to maintain prices and keep hides moving into a market too small to keep pace with the global supply of hides. Hides continue to be sold each week with good quantities available, but buyers can be picky and for now, the preference is toward the better-grading selections such as HNS, BBS, NDS and HNDS with less favor towards BS, CBS and BC.
