US cancels trade planning meeting with China over disagreements regarding intellectual property rules. The two sides reportedly remain in contact with hopes of resuming high level talks at the end of the month.  Should they fail to reach a permanent trade agreement by March 1, the US has said it will reinforce punitive tariffs on China.
