No news since last week. The situation in Argentina is looking meek. Fresh hides remain at Arg. $0., so they are neither salted or thrown away. Most frigorificos have their frigo-beef facilities already full.

Lower slaughter accompanies a lesser domestic consumption. 

The few Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers quoted, continue at about US$0.07 per kg.

Many tanneries with serious difficulties are continuing to operate. 

There are fewer orders than usually at this time. Also there has been a lot of uncertainty about when clients will start buying again.
