Corn & Soybean Planting Above Average

  • 92 percent planted
  • 64 percent emerged
  • 70% Good to Excellent

Planting progress slowed as a number of states neared completion for the season. Corn planting is 88 percent complete, up eight points from last week, six points over the 5-year average, and 33 points above last season’s pace. Six states are over 90 percent complete with planting this season. North Dakota made the most progress, planting 34 percent of the crop. North Dakota is also the furthest behind their average pace, trailing the 5-year average by 25 points.
