Outstanding Export Sales

Tables 1 and 2 below show the total outstanding cured hide and wet blue export sales by selected countries through May 21. Through Week 21, the total outstanding sales are 4.428 million from at 4.410 million the prior week. With the same period average weekly slaughter at 577,758 head, the cumulative outstanding sales represent 7.66 weeks of production from 7.63 the previous week.

The US hide market has had a busy day of sales. Many trades adjusted today, with slightly higher than usual prices. With the higher kill from last week, more hides have been processed and the interest seems to be coming in.
