CBD Pet Segment Charges Ahead

CBD Pet products are showing healthy retail demand.  There’s no limit to what doting pet parents will do for their four-legged children.   Veterinarians have embraced CBD as a helpful supplement for dogs in particular, and it has become a reliable revenue generator for many veterinary practices and specialty pet stores.  Research done by Nielsen late last year revealed that veterinarians were twice as likely as physicians to have awareness of CBD, ostensibly resulting in a higher rate of recommended use.

 

Major markets have embraced the product, as Petco announced in March the availability of CBD products in 700 of their stores found in 23 states.  PetSmart announced several weeks ago they will be carrying CBD products in 122 stores in 5 states.
