Organic Feed Wheat Price Remain Depressed

 

Organic feed wheat prices remain depressed along with organic corn prices. Organic feed wheat prices are hoving near the $6/$6.25 level FOB the farm. Low corn prices are making feed wheat less attractive and will likely continue to weigh on prices.

Food-processing companies have spent millions of dollars on testing and safety to stay in operation during the pandemic. Now they are looking to the next phase, which is determining how much of that spending is here to stay and how to get higher production in a new reality. Several producers have begun offering on-site tests at plants in areas with significant outbreaks. The cost to revamp the plants can exceed $100,000 per plant, according to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal.
